Default Cabbage or lettuce?

Which vegetable do you prefer?

It’s cabbage for me anyhow. I know pushy vegans like to insist that lettuce barely has any taste (let-alone a disagreeable one) but ya. The green rank ain’t for me and it puts me off a lot of salads and certain burgers. So that’s kind of just how it is for me. I like cabbage but not lettuce.

Both for me.

The only lettuce type i don't like is rocket - it's far too perfumed for my taste.

I don’t eat any salad ..

That leaves cabbage which I can eat if it’s well cooked and covered with gravy , apple sauce and mint jelly - just so I can’t taste it

I have it as it’s supposedly very good for you

I've been eating lettuce recently.

I prefer that kind ^ to iceberg, but I'll eat an iceberg.

Ironically rocket is the only type of lettuce I can vaguely stomach. Especially when it’s part of an Italian course-meal.

Cabbage is one of the reasons why I much prefer coleslaw to conventional salad. I just wish burgers and sandwiches came coated with and ketchup/brown sauce that by-default than iceberg-lite lettuce, mayo. and every shade of pickle under the sun.

Neither am I but fast-food joints seem hell-bent on adding all this nonsense to their burgers. Let Big Mac just be Big Mac. If I want lettuce drenched in mayo. and pickle I’ll make myself a gherkin salad at home. That’s not what I eat fast food for.

Cabbage.

LOVE red cabbage but you also can't beat regular cabbage on a roast with gravy and pepper. :yum:

I like both, but Cabbage helps make Coleslaw which is a win for it in my eyes.

Coleslaw’s better when it’s made with just cabbage (and maybe carrots). Lettuce has no place in it.

Ditto. Anything lettuce (besides lamb’s lettuce) is a no-no for me.
