um, so? He's referred to as Halfwit by all outlets of the show, makes sense people call him that. And technically his legal name is Frederick.

Technically, he can call himself whatever he wants to, with or without deed poll, so long as he doesn't intend to defraud anyone.

If Noirin has been allowed to remain a housemate and not draw the glasses on every day, I'd say Freddie would have a good claim to stop people calling him halfwit.
