Putting that under him going a bit crazy in the stress of the situation and panicking.

Yeah, he's a bastard... but there's always good reason behind his actions. It's just for most people, that reason isn't good enough to justify what he does.

if i remember correctly..that plant that brock got poisoned with could never kill him..it was just used to scare jesse to help kill gus..i could be wrong though i havent seen that season in a while..
and he let jesse's girlfriend die because she was a hardcore addict and was going down and was going to take jesse with her..if he didnt let her die jesse would probably be dead by now from an overdose just like her

No he doesn't at all

He seems to have lost his moral compass completely unlike Jesse who managed to keep it (eventhough he shot Gale) The difference is Walt justifies his actions and convinces himself that what he did was ok where as Jesse is fully aware of what he did was wrong and nearly falls a part with guilt. I will say though, as much as I dislike Walt he's a brilliant character

Seems most people are up to date, and I know I wouldn't even contemplate coming in to a thread like this if I wasn't..

Anyway, the discussion you guys just had about whether Walt's ends justify the means was interesting..

I think at the beginning of this, Walt was a good guy.. decent.. with morals.. and a good feel for what's right and what's wrong... but after all that he's been through, he's now gone so far off the reservation, he's lost himself along the way.

I think you can sympathise with him in that none of us can imagine how it feels to be in his position.. and in the same way that people do drastic things in war situations or disasters, you can understand that the circumstances have definitely been a huge factor in shaping his behaviour recently. I don't think it's got so much to do with the lung cancer either.. I think it has more to do with the fact that he's gotten himself so deep in to the drugs situation and doesn't actually know how to find his way back. That, coupled with the things he's seen along the way.. I mean, how many dead bodies has he seen since this started?... I'm willing to bet he hadn't seen any before that.. And, how many times has he watched someone die.. that must change a person..

Also, remember back at the start when Hank was showing him the gun, and he hadn't a clue how to hold it.. he looked nervous being in the same room as it... now look at him.. Heisenberg the gangster.. who will happily put a bullet in someone without a second thought.. he's lost his conscience along the way... become desensitised... Jesse never did. He's guilt-ridden about so much..

Looking back to the incident with Jesse's girlfriend... it was technically Walt's fault she died... remember she told Jesse to always lie on your side in case you vomit in your sleep and choke.. they were lying on their sides, when Walt came in and shook Jesse, which caused her to fall over onto her back.. then she choked on her vomit.. so if Walt hadn't came in that room, she would still be alive... not only did he not save her, but he was actually to blame for her dying in that manner...

I don't think he meant to kill Mike at that moment... he lost his rag... you could see that was more of a 'heat of the moment' thing, but I think he might have killed him eventually anyway. He seems to think that is the answer to life's problems. Just kill off the loose ends..

I wonder how he's going to cope with Hank now though.. Throughout all of this, the only people he seemed to care about were his family and Jesse. Will he be willing to kill Hank to protect his secrets? I'm very excited for where they'll take the final episodes..

Count us in for any celebrity magazine photo that does not have someone sitting in their foyer with bare feet or, even worse, in bare feet and cuffed jeans sitting on a stool in a studio. Why so much bare feet in boring celebrity photos? Ugh, it's a scourge.
