The media is blasting Madonna for "talking about herself for 10 minutes instead of Aretha", but it was a tribute from HER to Aretha, her connection between her and Aretha’s music. I think people are making mountains out of molehills, and it's just another excuse to bash her....but oh well.

Grande finished the song without notice or mention of the special guest, and went right into “Borderline,” even rapping part of Missy Elliott’s verses. “This is the most fun I’ve ever had,” Grande admitted before interrupting herself after a band member alerted her to the news: “Oh, my God, where is she?!” She then said all in one breath, “You guys, Madonna is here. Hi, Madonna. Guys, I’m going to pass out.” Meanwhile, Madonna, who had also come from the VMAs where she gave an Aretha Franklin tribute, was wearing the same head wrap from the show, mirrored ski goggle-looking glasses and a long dress. I think she's finally accepted that she's never going to have the body of a 20 year old anymore and i'm pleased for her. I just wish she'd give up on those face fillers because it looks un-natural and she doesn't need them. Still, i'm not worrying too much because she usually looks fab whenever she returns with new music.Speaking of music, her new album is "infused" with Portuguese fado music, so i'm quite excited by this direction. |
