I thought Hotel was way better than both Coven and Freakshow but it's far from the peak of Asylum and Murder House.

The main problem with Hotel was that there was too many characters and not enough storyline to go around. As usual all the male characters bar March and Elizabeth were mostly pointless and the interesting characters ultimately didn't get enough screen time because of all the pointless characters hogging screen time.

Still, in comparison to the last two seasons it's a Tour De Force in Television excellence.

Seems like what I expected from Hotel with the vampire kids. Let's hope he can actually write a storyline this time.

Matt Bomer needs to be given an interesting character this time around, his role in hotel was basically to look pretty and show off his bod and Cheyenne just needs a character that isn't a walking talking plot device.

I like West Bentley and I liked John in the second half of the season but I don't think he should play the main character this time around. He's a bit wasted playing an 'eyes of the audience' type character, he'd be better off playing a supporting role.

I wanna see Finn Wittrock play a good guy for once, that'd be interesting as he's only played evil/morally ambiguous characters thus far.

I'm hoping that Angela, Kathy and Denis get significant roles this time around, Iris and Elizabeth pretty much carried Hotel and Angela's been given the short end of the stick when it comes to characters outside of Coven.

If Evan Peters comes back they need to keep him away from playing the Love Interest, March was his best character since Tate because he was playing against type.

Yeah, I'd love it if Angela was a lead, Ramona and her Freakshow character weren't the best but you could really tell that she was making the most of the weak writing. She needs another winner like Marie.

She deserves the spotlight tbh.

I've recently rewatched the first three seasons (just finished Coven's last ep). My opinion on the first two hasn't really changed. Asylum is still the best, followed by Murder House (which I actually preferred on rewatch). With regards to Coven, it's not amazing but on a rewatch it was far better than before. It was a turning point in the franchise which quickly changed again, and although it was a bit camp and too comedic at times, it didn't go to the extremes that Scream Queens would. It's probably a 7/10, but I would have given it a 6 before so I'm glad I gave it another go.

the plot holes were what perhaps made it a bit annoying as well. no real explanation as to why marie/mcflurry were no longer immortal/could die, and madison's death was a bit far fetched given how she'd just proved she could do 6/7 wonders yet die so easily
