Default Movies that really disappointed you.

Any movies that you thought would be great, only to let you down when you watched them.

For me:

The Dark Knight
Paranormal Activity
Brokeback Mountain
King Kong
2012
War Of The Worlds

Biggest movie going disappointment for me was probably Star Wars The Phantom Menace. I'm sure there's others but that's the first one that sprung to mind.

I enjoyed the Phantom Menace, I believe it was down to the 15 year gap of Star Wars. It didn't last too long though, before I watched it the second time only to find out I was conned

I second you on the Dark Knight and War of the Worlds.

Children of Men turned out to be a heap of rubbish, especially after the glowing reviews
The Lives of Others wasn't all it was hyped up to be either
Hallam Foe fell massively short of its promising opening scenes
Casino Royale was really dull, despite Daniel Craig being a great Bond

Oh yes, Child of Men was a real let down. So much I had forgotten about it until now.

Thought I was the only one that thought Casino Royale was no great shakes. Didn't do much for me at all.

It contradicted itself being a reboot and being Bond's first adventure when it still had Dame Judy Dench in it.

And it missed a trick with a 2006 release. Imagine billboard reading "2007" emphasising the '007'.

I dislike a lot of mainstream films because they're overrated.

I'm just not convinced by Daniel Craig yet as Bond. True, he does channel Bonds brazen and brutal style, but I can't see the charm or playfulness yet. He's too cold really for the role and he's nowhere near Fleming's Bond, in my opinion anyway. The actor that was closest in tone to the Bond of the books was Timoty Dalton.

Oh... how could I forget Natural Born Killers? I'm a big Oliver Stone fan and never thought him capable making something that bad. It's like he forgot the meaning of the word 'subtlety'.

Oh yeah, Superman Returns was very disappointing, but I still think they should have allowed Singer to film a sequel.

The Simpsons Movie sucked so bad. I know a lot of people complain about the quality of the series these days, but there were less laughs in the entire feature length movie than in some of today's worst Simpsons episodes.

Just get Kevin Spacey to play Lex Luthor again and I'm happy.

Yeah I wasn't opposed to him coming back, I just found the movie very boring and lackluster.

Only funny part was Spider Pig and then they overdid it bringing it into some episodes, I brought my twin Nephews to see it and they were bored out of there heads.

The Human Centipede is a strange one. It has all the sickly gore with it, but the Americans build this up in their usual way, which generally turns out to be a disappointment. Watch with an open mind and see what you think.

The worse scene for me was this:

Spoiler:

When the guy at the front had to take a crap in the mouth of the girl that was stitched onto his arse.

Now that was sick!!!

I don't understand the appeal of these movies. I'd rather be stuck on a broken down train with half the teenage inbred underclass of Sunderland than sit through another torture porn flick.

I agree with Casino Royale totally, Daniel Craig is a great Bond but the plot was very plain.

Daybreakers
Bronson
2012
Inception (Note: I think it's a fantastic film, but severly overhyped, hence I was slightly disappointed that I didn't really agree with people throwing the "one of the best movies ever" line about)
No Country For Old Men
Paranormal Activity

The last Indiana Jones one...I wasn't expecting too much but I wasn't expecting the equivalent of a miscarriage.

If this is the best disaster movie ever, I would die if I saw the rest. *Facepalm*

It was horrible, All of the good parts of the trailer, rushed into one scene.
It was more about those ******ing fat Russian Drake and Josh wanna-be twins, than it was about the actual doomsday.
