...was alot more tame this week. In the past few weeks they have been pretty entertaining viewing with all the controversial calls and that. After hearing Simon whisper to Cheryl last week "...who's letting all these callers through" regarding the overly opinionated callers im guessing they are gonna start selecting callers a little more carefully from now on. Which is a shame as it was gold when a nutter slipped through.

This weeks was awful, but its clear that since the woman got through a couple of weeks ago who took Cheryl to task for her Wagner incident,that the calls clearly have been rather silly ones and near always praising Cheryl or One Direction in particular.

So I think the calls are being screened more tightly anyway since then and its just a futher loss of credibility for the programme.

Many of my friends rang last night to try to get a question to Simon as to whay the public vote only had been removed from the semi-finals,funnily enough not one of them got selected.

It does seem from last night they are gearing up for One Direction to win,I am quite shocked at last nights sing off vote.I have never brought into the fact that it is fixed,but last night was the first time I doubted that.

I don't think its fixed as to the voting but once you have figures and any knowledge of a likely outcome,there are then many ways to engineer an alternative result.

No one on the show would ever risk losing a lucrative position with it to spill any beans and no one would risk upsetting Simon either, but he has gone so far away from his Great British public making the right decisions this series and I am sure its all to please Ms Cole for whatever reason/s.

As a for instance, to the viewers last night we had no idea a sing off was on the cards until just before Dermot was to announce the results after the break,after the lines were closed.
A simple nod from someone to indicate Cher was last in the votes with Mary 2nd last could easilly be the trigger to have a sing off.

Since having a sing off indicated not the desired result was pending this meant the judges had to avoid deadlock, no one would have doubted Simon and Cheryl would save Cher, so Dannii likely conscious of her vulnerable status for next year on the show toed the line.

A nod to Simon and then to Dermot,the announcement of a sing off could have been all the signs of what was the contingency plan.I also think maybe it was originally designed in case One Direction were the last placed but with them safe and Cher the loser then it was played out anyway.


All supposition on my part, but its very odd the X Factor this year and I have seen similar done as above at Uni and it likely happens anywhere where you want statistics/votes etc, to say what you want them to rather than what they actually do say. Engineering the result you want in the process.

I thought it was short last night actually, there's been times where it's took up much more of the show and I prefer that because that's the best part of the show for me.

yeah me too but at the same time, the good questions and the ones we at home want to hear the answers to are never asked(unless on the odd occasion someone lies and gets one through) like last night why the rule was changed and there was a sing off for example

they where so getting calls in to big up cheryl again after the few weeks of her getting called out. i mean that guy that was like your amazing and you are the ultimate english female popstar bitch please i am not a big fan but i think alexandra's performance last night was miles better than cheryls and i am not a real big fan of ballads
