Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has announced that she is hoping to make a name for herself in the world of business.

The 22-year-old model told the Daily Star that she will soon begin a management course and hopes to eventually match the success of Ultimo bra firm boss Michelle Mone and Birmingham City's ex-managing director Karren Brady.

Hayes commented: "I thought it was about time I started looking after my own affairs so I decided to sign up for a business course. It starts in the New Year and I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be strange being a student again but I'm sure I'll get a lot out of it.

"I've always wanted to show that I have a brain and what better place to do that than in the boardroom? Once I've completed the course I'll be able to do everything myself."

She added: "I've always admired strong businesswomen like Karren and Michelle. And there's no reason why I can't be as successful as them one day."

In August, Hayes vowed to get her life back on track after reportedly taking an overdose of painkillers and red wine.

Woo hoo go Chanelle! I always knew she had a brain, before she entered big brother she was studying Spanish at A level and can play the violin really well. She was probably the only intelligent person in bb8, well her and Gerry!

Anywho I am glad she is back on track!

Regardless, after ANY BB is over people should just go back to their normal lives, who'd want to live as a running gag for the rest of their lives? No one's gonna take Chanelle or any BB contestant seriously, it's just embarrasing to see people forfeit their dignity for a few more seconds of fame.

Lol, I see what you are saying but I dont blame them for clinging onto fame. Some of them have been successful like Kate Lawler and Alison Hammand from bb3, both earned some respectable presenting jobs! I would like to see Channelle and a few others on talk shows and stuff because I do think some past bb housemates are a bit better than nothing or just posing in front of a camera.. I just find it refreshing seeing housemates I liked in magazines and in the news now and again, rather than Katie Price, TomKat, Brangelina all the time.. Thank God for big brother I say!

The main difference between Kate and Alison to the rest is how they handle themselves. They never did the trashy tabloids route while Chanelle will never be taken seriously as she did for a quick bit of cash. To be fair on the TomKat and Brangelina point they don't actively seek out headlines and plus unlike most BB contestants they have talents to back up their fame.

The reason why most BB contestants are jokes is because they make the mistake of going after fame when they should instead look for a media career. Tabloid celebrity never lasts and it's never dignified.

And Patrick plese stop your anti BB8 hate as some of the most successful housemates of recent series' came from them (Brian, Chanelle, Samanda..)
