Default BB11 may have bad first month viewers?

Firstly a big hello again to all of you as it's been a while since i last posted

Ok, so I had a look at this week's TV scedule only to see that the Friday show just happens to clash with the Football World Cup starting. If Big Brother continue to use the 9pm slot (especially on the 12th, 18th and 23th (which is when England play)) then the number of viewers could well suffer as a result.

If they are smart, they would put next Saturday's show at 10pm (which is after the England game finishes) so they wouldn't clash because obviously a large % of viewers are from England and a lot of the males would be watching that game.

Could bad choice of timeslots hurt the amount of viewers watching this the final series of the show?

That's true. I would favour the World Cup over BB every time.

Negative as fuck you are.

The viewing figures are everything, if this series gets really good ratings even if they can stay around 4-5 Million every night and possible 6 Million for big events.. well then another channel will buy it.

The brodcaster will see this is a good series, they will look at the viewing figures and if they are about 2 Million they will think 'Fuck theres no point in buying this garbage'

If the viewers are in big amounts then the more channels will want Big Brother.

CBB, got 3-4 Million (Big Woop ) and other channels were like 'Oh I would buy that' just by a stupid 3 week season getting around 4 million every night.. then imagine what would happen if Big Brother 11 got higher than that.

Honestly its so obvious.

Well C4 have avoided both primetime England games starting the shows on Saturday 12th and Friday 18th later than usual
As for other world cup games, well I don't know how much of a crossover there is between the two audiences, a lot of highlight shows are on at 10pm which avoid the footie and there is always C4+1 for those shows that start at 9pm

****ing stupid world cup, really who cares about a few men running and after a ball.

I think they will move the schedual abit tbh, so Friday clashes with BB?
Well then if they have a twist on that friday, its ****ed.

If Friday gets low ratings compared to Wednesday and Thursday which I reckon will be above 4 Million well then I think they will learn from their idiotic mistake and put BB at 10PM When the World Cup clashes.

I believe the series average was something like 2.4mil for last years show actually, so that's less than 3mil by quite a long way.

The World Cup is way more entertaining than BB, but that's a matter of opinion.

*Facepalm* The series averaged on 3 Million you epic fail.

Plus thats not even including all the other viewers that they don't count, they don't actually count everyone watching it.

It could of got around 5 Million and C4 count up 3 Million.
Learned this last year on here, was shocked at it

What a load of ****.

Series average for BB10 = 2.4mil (all time low), how can you say it "could have been 5mil"? It couldn't, it was less than half that. Fact.

Ok, if you want I could tell you that at least 15m people watch every England game in England alone, easily. That far outweighs about 2-3m of the BB audience.

Where have you got the number "2 billion" from anyway, that seems like a vague figure.

15 million ?? lmfao you are joking right?

2 Billion was the figure given during a BB10 build up show looking back at all the series worldwide etc

Well the Wednesday program just happens to clash with the penultimate episode of the popular BBC show The Apprentice. But Channel 4 have played it smart this year and avoided showing the highlights at same time as the Final this year. (They tried to compete vs it before and lost badly)

Ah okay
Well good on them for avoiding them for avoiding the final episode.

I wonder what will get more views though, BB11s Launch or The Apprentice?

The same could be said by the non Big Brother fans.. "Who really cares about a bunch of fame hungry nobodies making twats of themselves?"

Note, that isn't my opinion, however I would choose watching a World Cup game over a Big Brother show any day of the week.
