I don't think anyone has ever disputed the fact that he existed, it's more if he was who he said he was and did what we're told he did

Be careful, or you'll upset the Muslims who recognise the existence of Jesus as the prophet before Mohammed! Furthermore, there are plenty of references to Jesus both in Jewish and Roman scriptures. Whether he was actually the son of God is another matter, but Jesus the man who purported to be the Messiah and was crucified for that belief, did in fact exist.

Than surely with no concrete proof the Jesus you may claim is the most famous man to ever live is just a 'character'. I'm not trying to offend theists by the way.

I'm not a theist, but I know that Jesus lived as definitely as I know that Queen Victoria, Ghandi, Hannibal, Julius Caesar, King Harold and William of Orange lived: from historical records - or else you may as well say that all history is but a myth.

By the way, I'm not one of the people who have claimed that Jesus is the most famous person that ever lived, merely that a man called Jesus DID exist insofar as we have historical written evidence from sources that, in fact, probably had more reason to try and conceal his existence than promote it.

Jesus is a really iffy one really. I'm not totally convinced he existed. Lots of contradictions and misinformation.

I didn't know who Hitler was and I was 14 actually. Not everyone knows about things like that.. also Jesus isn't real. I'm not sure though
