Default Ok, need help

Right, so I'm going on a trip with my Dad, somewhere in UK. But we don't know where to go. I was thinking Forest Of Dean. But we've been to the west before, Stratford and all that. Where is good to go in UK? I'd actually go to Scotland again cos it was ace, but it's a right trek :/

BIB. I'm sure you would.

Clearly you have no idea of the places, sights, history, intresting aspects that the UK and holidays/breaks within this country can offer.

Started in Grenta Green (probs wrong spelling) Drove to Dumfries, then Edinburgh, and went past St Mary Loch, with loads of hills and stuff, really nice. And ended up in Stirling

There's a lot to see in the Borders district if you don't want the full trek past Stirling/Edinburgh and beyond.

If you're up for a longer trek: Perthshire, trossachs, have lots to offer and at this time of year, the scenery is simply breathtaking.

Places like Inverurie - smashing little hotel is a great base and is very reasonable (does 'aprtments' at good value)

http://www.thegeorgehotel.co.uk/

Fife coastal routes are lovely too: smashing little fishing villages and neuks.

Crinan Canal route / island of Seil etc http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.u...eil/index.html

Really depend what you're looking for.

Okay...so you're about a good 4 hours from the cental belt..... where I've mentioned varies approx about 6/7 hours away (roughly).

The Ayrshire coast has lots to offer.... and some splendid castles along the way too.... if you go near Ayrshire: you HAVE to experience the Electric Brae. Phenomenon that makes it look as though you're car is facing down a hill....but gravity pulls it up the hill........ whilst it's neutral !!!
