Surely that depends on the rules of the forum in which the subject is being discussed.

This particular site is predominately for Big Brother fans - hence it's name This Is Big Brother. It's age limit is 13. What the show may be marketed towards, and the age of fans it actually attracts in reality are two entirely different things.

That is where censorship has to be applied. Some decency has to be factored in, and Tibbs has taken a responsible role to have such a rule in place, given the low age of members that are allowed to register and join. I'd have thought that was pretty obvious tbh.

They don't have to be watching it on TV. There are numerous places they can catch up, or even discuss in great detail - tabloids, magazine, you tube, etc, etc.

Unfortunately: in the world that we now live in... whilst I completely agree that parents should: parents aren't with their children 24/7 - and it would be unhealthy for them be so.

We all have to consider the potential that a 13 year old fan could be watching the censored midday version of the show, and then come here to discuss.

But yeah, only F and C should be censored. Or maybe there could be an option for those who want a swear filter and those who don't.

I will say that personally(I think my opinion on this is pretty common knowledge ), I dont think there should be a filter. However, I can see why there is one.

And I would be so pissed if I had kids who had joined a forum to talk about..say the x factor...and ended up learning words such as ****** from it.

With the age limit being 13 to join though, you're hearing those words already at school
