Arrow GTA III 10th Anniversary video


Grand Theft Auto III will be released on mobile devices, Rockstar Games has announced.

The open-world title will see a re-release on phones and tablets as part of its tenth anniversary this month.

It will be playable on iOS devices iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, as well as Android phones and tablets including HTC Evo 2, Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Also announced was a special edition figurine of main character Claude, which will be available to Rockstar Social Club members as part of a giveaway.

Originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2001, Grand Theft Auto III was the first 3D entry in the series, offering a vast and unprecedented open-world to explore.

It went on to become the year's best-selling release and propelled the Grand Theft Auto franchise into blockbuster status.

Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on iPhone and iPad last year.

Grand Theft Auto III: 10th Anniversary Edition is expected to be released later this month, and is playable at the New York Comic-Con this weekend.

Apple iOS Devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S
Android Phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2
Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

It's the sh*ttest of all the games tbh but OMG.

I don't have an iPhone though, surely it will be compatible with iPod Touch too?

Oh I know that and I get how it's so revolutionary and fantastic and all that - but I just don't get the constant arse licking of it on YouTube/GTA Forums when we have games like Vice City and San Andreas which are better.

But aye I can totally get how much we owe to GTA III.

It's really strange to think that it's gonna be released on mobiles. I'm not too interested though, I hate apple products when it comes to games.

No iPod touch support paddy. Needs the A5 chip I'm afraid. Not money grabbing before you say, it's just that otherwise it will run like treacle.

10 years wow, awesome game. Shame Sony removed the software from PS3 which allowed your PS2 games to work on them now.
