I've never had a problem trusting people.

These threads always confuse me. They are full of young people whose lives sound incredibly over dramatic which I never got. People invariably end up sounding like one of those pocket sized books they line up along the tills at Waterstones for insecure women to buy.

'Most people let you down' or 'don't trust people too easily because they are out to thirst on your blood' or any of this bollocks was always lost on me. Maybe I've just had some miraculously uncomplicated life surrounded by decent people, I dunno.

Nowdays people are so wrapped up in other people's lives. Mainly due to everyone being on social networking sites like Facebook to nosey what others are doing and your friends constantly being in your life 24 7.

I had an issue with trust in my teens. I think always being on msn and that probably didn't help and being too wrapped up in people's lives. Now I have taken a back seat from all that which helps matters and makes me a wiser person to know who I can trust.

Anyway I trust 2 people in my life. I am content and happy with the way things are.

People are more emotional nowadays when at times people need to try harder to move on and just brush things off them.

I think there are a load of different levels of trust, but on the whole I can count the amount of people I fully 100% trust on one hand

I don't trust anyone with any of my secrets and the like, but people can and do trust me with their secrets. I don't and won't tell other people.

If it comes to general trust, then yeah, I'll give that to most people once I know them well enough, but if they ever break it that's pretty much it and I won't ever trust them again, there are very few exceptions. It always seems a bit stupid to trust someone again who has broken it once already, it's like you're asking for the same thing to happen again.

I'm very trusting and forgiving to a worrying degree. People are destined to mess up so I find it easier trusting them and forgiving them when they do since I know it's inevitable. I suppose it's a postive outlook but for negative reasons.

I find it less draining to trust and forgive then to spend time and energy hating people.

Im very much 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' when it comes down to trust. Once I get to know somebody and like them I very easily trust them, I think it moves a friendship up a level in a way.

Its difficult when somebody breaks it though if serious, I tend to forgive and want to trust again but its never the same. However I tend to keep really personal things to myself until I get angry about it, then its choosing whose best to talk to.

I think drink is worse, because I blurt stuff out that people have told me. The amount of arguments I've caused is pretty unreal (but I always get away unscathed ) and people continue to tell me stuff

A lot of my trust issues stem from myself. I expect people to be like me and if I was someone else I wouldn't trust me
