The build up on 5 seems to be pretty good. Little bits of info released here and there.
Channel 4 was different I feel, we got the press release then house pics then pretty much the show started. Which do you prefer? The bits and bobs 5 release or when it was on 4? I like it now bb is on 5 because of the info we keep getting. It's almost like foreplay before the actual intercourse......

I think that this year C5 is doing what C4 used to do with BB and keep stuff a secret until launch (except for the eye).

The only thing i dont like about the Channel 5 one is they have top many ex housemates in ads and in promo and thats what we dont want. Thats what makes BB seem rehashed.

Ch4 was always great for advertising BB imo where as Ch5 are just not caring enough about the show which is weird considering it's one of the channels most watched shows, if not the most watched show on the channel.

Only because they have to use other ways to promote it if they want good ratings. It wasn't necessary for C4. Even with all their promotion they can only match C4s lowest rated series with a celebrity series.

Channel 5 aren't giving us tidbits, they're giving us a weekly press release like Channel 4 did, the presenters are giving us the tidbits on twitter, twitter wasn't used for BB till BB10 and even then there was only 1 presenter on there to give us tidbits, now there's 4 plus Marcus and the sweaty box guys.

I had miles more excitement for Big Brother on Channel 4, I was excited for the launch (and every eviction) like months before it had started. On Channel 5, I am lucky if I'm even excited on the day of the launch.

Channel 4 definitely. Was just so excited about all of it, the eye reveal, launch night, BBLB coming back & just whole aura the show had back then. It felt like such a massive event, and that feeling isn't quite there now with Channel 5.

It's hard to say really. I loved C4's approach to the advertising but it got a little tiresome towards the end. Logo reveal. Eye flash, house advert, launch.
I did love the countdown to the logo reveal for BB9. Whereas C5 have taken a fresh approach to the way BB is advertised. Which is better IMO. Billboards, ads on other channels etc. If I had to choose I would say C5 is better at advertising the show than C4.

I don't really get excited for normal series' until the day they are due to start. The celebrity ones I usually look forward to for a couple of weeks if someone I like is rumored to be going in.

Advertising on the side of buses was good otherwise it was awful. The worst / most cringey BB ads ever.
^ Honestly hope the full BB13 trailer is nothing like that.

Most people have Sky+ and ******ing fast forward the Ad breaks anyway. The Buses and Billboards are the way to go, spend more money on that than advertising on other channels IMO. And yeah, if the BB13 Full Trail is like that then they've just undone all their work and lost everyone's respect once again.
