Default is there necessary hysteria in Syria ? show we send our troops yes or no (poll)

why the hysteria in Syria ? 27.5.12

i am not going there,
ignorance is bliss,
we still debate Iraqi,
we love to poke the Tony-Bush and never kiss.
there can be no more Brian Haw,
protesting long term in a shabby camp,
this country is in a double dip,
national strikes will cramp.
i am sorry,
but i am having no hysteria,
yes i watch and listen to the news,
but i am refusing to comment on Syria.
no we can not help,
our troops in Afghanistan are sitting ducks,
we can not keep refereeing,
i am sorry if it sucks.
if we send help,
our troops wont ever leave,
sorry to bring in Iraqi again,
but Syria will turn sour and the blame the UK will receive.

No we shouldn't send our troops there, if you look at what's happened in Libya we rushed into it militarily and ok so Gaddafi was (eventually) removed from power but now the country is overrun with competing militant factions and is in chaos, with plenty of reports of atrocities being carried out by the rebels we supported. In Syria we're even less sure of the nature of the opposition there, it's even more motley and the suicide bombings show there may well be a strong al-Qaeda presence there. We also don't know for sure who was responsible for the massacre yesterday, it's hard to really know anything for certain about what's going on in that country

Our troops are already over-stretched. We don't need to see anymore of them die in a futile action. The UN should be stepping in... if they weren't such a massive, toothless waste of time.

Definately not, even if we had the troops available to send in for any purpose,I cannot see any real success coming from such action, unfortunately our troops are way too committed elsewhere.

It's the diplomatic route that needs to be kept on with,it may not succeed either but that seems to be all that can be done and tried,at this point anyway.

why do you keep putting an option that revolves around other members taking the opportunity to insult your poems? You're just inviting rudeness.

But I agree with Livia. We don't need another disastrous Middle East intervention.
