Upon Channel 5 purchasing Big Brother, intitally a Live Streaming was confirmed, but was further looked into by Desmond the ratings for Big Brother were predicted to be about 1.1 mill a 24 hour Live Streaming could not be covered over that amount of viewership, even though Jeff Ford did clearly state "We could have done it if we wanted to". This news sent fans into backlash with over 1 million emails alone being sent to Channel 5 over the absense of Live Feed.

Channel 5 then re-launched a one hour streaming on 5* after evictions which has attracted the highest ratings for the channel. An insider has spoken to us an told us why Channel 5 will never bring back the Live Feed as long as viewerships stay as under 2 mill. "When Big Brother was big back in it's Channel 4 days all the big newspapers talked about it

The show also had major sponsors at the time like Virign who helped fund the Live Streaming, the only way for a 24 hour Live Feed to return is if the show starts producing old viewership figuires like Big Brother had at least in it's Ninth series, which is most likley to never happen as Jeff Ford said himself the old fans have moved on, and fans are starting to get used to the fact that there is no 24 Hour Live Streaming, but I do believe that if all goes well Channel 5 will find away to incoperate further Live Feed programs into it's schedule if BB13 and CBB10 have successful ratings.

Don't know how true this is, but it's worth a read. So basically if we want a live feed we need at least 3.6 million viewers on average.

The bottom line is, Jeff Ford has admitted that they have the money to run live feed if they want to. Therefore, there's only one reason they haven't brought it back - greater editorial control.

There's absolutely no excuses for not providing 24/7 live feed, it's just piss poor. If the poorest countries in the world can do it, so can we.

Then he goes on to say how the ratings need to be at least 9th's ratings which is averaging 3.6 million which is not far off 4 million.

They are spending the LF money on celebs to stick in the proper BB house, like Pamela Anderson.

The only way to get LF back is to be rid of C5 and the only way to be rid of C5 is to get even lower ratings, which won't make BB a desirable option for other broadcasters.

Desmond is immersed in celeb culture through his newspapers and magazines. Taditional proper BB was in trouble from the moment Desmond took control of 5.

Who would pick up BB after C5? Likely, nobody. Channel 4 don't want it and BBC and ITV would never go near Big Brother. Be grateful C5 picked it up.

Silly wankers. The only way Big Brother could ever come close to getting the 'BB9 Standard' of ratings back - is if they ******ing install a Live Feed around the clock.

Jeff Ford thinks old fans have moved on? I'm sorry. But I really want Jeff Ford to fall and hurt himself, badly. He's a ******ing tool who has no idea what he's talking about. The old fans may of 'moved on' after BB10 - because that's when everything started going wrong, once the live feed was took away.
And the primary basis of the show was demolished, then of course by BB11 it was already too late and by that stage the producers decided to turn it into a kids show.

This is exactly why the ratings fell so dramatically. And the fact they can't see that is a joke.
