Just taught i start a thread on what you guys would pick as the greatest performances seen on screen. Just write a little description on why you think its a great performance.
Really Harvey Keital puts it on the line for the Bad lieutenant, not a film if your anyone easily offended about corrupt cop on the case of a nun who has been raped. This scene is one of the greatest pieces of acting put to screen.
Micheal Fassbender without doubt the best actor in the world right now. Hunger maybe is his best performance along with Shame. But this scene wins out for been a 20 minute one take shot (Liam cunningham deserves praise too as the preist). Also for losing all the weight is a intense thing to do.
Couldn't have a list like this without Prime Robert De niro in it. Another actor who gained the weight and pushed himself to limits most actors wouldn't go. This Scene shows Jake lemotta at his lowest. Great scene of self hatred.
