Bilbo - ukturtle



Frodo's adoptive uncle. Always travelling.

Frodo Baggins - Karl



A well-to-do hobbit from the Shire, who inherits the One Ring from Bilbo. Frodo accepts the task of destroying the Ring in the fire of Mount Doom.

Samwise Gamgee - Nathan



Gardener and friend of the Bagginses, who accompanies Frodo on the quest to destroy the Ring.

Merry & Pippin - Joeysteele & Mockinator



Both cousins to Frodo and part of the Fellowship.

Gandalf - RoyMarsIII



A wizard, who guides Frodo in his quest. He is a Maia, an angelic being sent by the godlike Valar to contest Sauron.

Aragorn - Locke



Descendant of Isildur and rightful heir to the thrones of Arnor and Gondor. He becomes a loyal companion to Frodo.

Legolas Greenleaf - Novo



An elf prince, who aids Frodo and the Fellowship. Son of King Thranduil of Mirkwood.

Gimli - MTVN



Son of Glóin, A representative of the Dwarves in the Fellowship.

Boromir - Leon



The eldest son of Denethor and member of the Fellowship. tempted by the power of the Ring he tries to take it from Frodo by force.

Gollum - michael21



Once possessed the Ring, which warped his mind and body and gave him unnaturally long life and poisoned his soul.

Elrond - InOne



Lord of Rivendell and father to Arwen Undomiel.

Galadriel - Lee



Royal Elf, co-ruler of Lothlórien, and grandmother of Arwen Undómiel (Arwen Evenstar). Keeper of one of the three elven rings.

Celeborn - Smithy



Was the Lord of Lothlórien. His wife was Galadriel, Lady of the Golden Wood.

Arwen - Josy



The Half-Elven daughter of Elrond who was also known as Arwen Undómiel or Arwen Evenstar in Middle-earth

Haldir - Marc



An Elf of Lothlórien, and a marchwarden who guarded the forest's northern borders.

Theoden - Samuel



King of Rohan.

Eomer - Jordan



The 3rd Marshal of the Mark, Théoden's nephew.

Eowyn - Mollie



Sister of Éomer, who disguises herself as a male warrior named Dernhelm to fight beside Théoden.

Denethor - Jords



Ruling Steward of Gondor and Lord of Minas Tirith.

Faramir - LegendKiller



Younger brother of Boromir and not favoured by Denethor.

Sauron - Dezzy



The Dark Lord and titular Lord of the Rings, a fallen Maia who helped the Elves forge the Rings of Power long ago. He forged the One Ring in secret to control all the other Rings of Power.

Saruman - Shaun



A corrupted wizard who seeks the One Ring for himself. Brainwashed by Sauron through use of the palantír. Like Gandalf, he is in fact a Maia, lesser (but still mighty) member of godlike kin of Valar.

Grima Wormtongue - Scott



A servant of Saruman and traitor of Rohan, a go-between from Saruman to Théoden who poisons Théoden's perceptions with well placed "advice".

The Witch-King of Angmar - Zee



The Lord of the Nazgûl, and Sauron's most powerful servant, who commands Sauron's army.

Balrog - Niamh



A fire-demon dwelling beneath the Mines of Moria awaken by the digging and mining of Dwarves.

Shelob - Kate



A giant spider who dwells in the passes above Minas Morgul.

Treebeard - Raph



An Ent, who rescues Meriadoc and Pippin from orcs.

Gamling - Salman



A Man of Rohan sometimes known as "Gamling the Old".

Madril - Jayson



A Ranger of Ithilien under the command Faramir.

Hama - Lemonjam



The doorward of the Meduseld (King Théoden's palace) and captain of Théoden's guard.

Lurtz - BlackDagger



Lurtz is one of Saruman's first Uruk-hai, a race of orcs specifically bred to be incredible warriors and the first to be resilient to the sun.

Grishnakh - kizzy



An Orc captain from Barad-dûr in the service of Sauron.

Sharku - memyselfandi



A veteran orc leading Saruman's warg riders.

Snaga - Harry



A scout in the band of Orcs that meet Ugluk's group and their captives.

King of the Dead - arista



The king of the Dead Men of Dunharrow and used to be a real man.

Rosie Cotton - Cara



Rosie is very fond of Sam, and considering his tongue-tiedness when she smiles at him we all wonder what that will become in times after the current era.

Isildur - Iceman



During the War of the Last Alliance, Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand, but he refused to destroy it.

Tauriel - Munchkins



A Silvan Elf of Mirkwood, is a character created for the upcoming films of The Hobbit. She is a warrior and the head of the Elven guard.

Barliman Butterbur - JH95



A Man of Bree and the owner of The Prancing Pony in the town of Bree.

Ringwraiths - GypsyGoth, Doogle, Livia, reece, Firewire, ithinkiloveyoutoo



The dreaded ring-bound servants of the Dark Lord Sauron in Middle-earth throughout the Second and Third Age.

Uruk Hai - mrlec, sooty, bigbrother12, fruitcake, MrLuvaLuva, James, Ninastar



The Uruk-hai are a larger and more advanced breed of Orc that appeared during the Third Age.

Orcs - Patrick, Callum, Princess, lily, Jessica, Kazanne, Saphlike, Vanessa, Sarah, Enid, bbfan1991



Warlike beings that served Morgoth, Sauron and Saruman and lived in Middle-earth; similar to but with a higher stature than traditional goblins .

Easterlings - Chewy, CharlieO, Stu, Joe, Pyramid, Niall



Men who lived in the east of Middle-earth, and were enemies of the Free Peoples. Their Kings and Queens were allies of Sauron.

Everyone Else - Wildmen



Dunlending Wildmen are a savage race of Men who are possessed with having their vengeance on the people of Rohan who, according to Saruman, drove them into the mountains
