Thats the last time we will ever see a presidential candidate who looks like romney...This was what bonnie greer spouted on itv election coverage about mitt romney, personally I think thats prejudiced , bordering on racial stereotyping. Its unnecessary and it doesnt help. unlike the great communicator barack obama, such comments inflame and divide.That language must end.

no one would ever consider saying such a comment in such a derogatory stereotyping way about any other group of people, black, hispanic, gay, disabled, female etc . She also finger points a lot which is plain rude, but this anti white male stereotyping must be avoided. Im not keen on her, she tries to take the moral high ground but she comes across as a sanctimonious hypocrite.

Yeah it was probably more a reference to how the Republican party will have to change and modernise to get more black/hispanic voters and be considered more in touch, I very much doubt she was purely talking about his appearance as a white male

I think she was meaning this aswell, The Republicans are to outdated and in this election Romney only had some older white guys voting for him because he scared everybody else off if his HQ was anything to go by.

no thats not true. in the real world there are virtually no associations offering help to white men in these situations. how many claims have you ever heard from white men of disccrimination against other cultures or ethnicities or sexual discrimination against a female colleague? there is no support for white men, thats why white male suicide is at an all time high worldwide, no one cares about them or their opinions, not in divorce, not in losing custody, not in mass suicide rates, not in abortion, not in sexual discrimination, the number of agencies supporting women and ethnicminories is over 100 to 1 ratio ....men are told to express their feelings? to who? I recall ronnie osullivan saying he was suicidal, no one took him serious, with all his millions he ended uprigning the samaritans. it was treated as a joke

I find what bonnie greer was racist and offensive. she can say it may be the last time a rich white man runs for president, but to say its the last time a man who looks like that will run for president is a step too far and is discrimination and would be called discrimination if it was said about a black man or any woman. thats a fact. when said about a white man its a joke, when said about a woman or a black man its a multi million pound law suit.too many double standards.

I know I make good points, Im the only person looking at both sides of the arguments on this whole site. but Im fraid your answer doesnt make sense?

1) One racist incident doesnt compare to the worldwide figures. in your example the police should arrest the people. if they dont its the polices fault. perhaps there is resentment of the bias in law inthe plice ranks which is making them reluctant follow up these race hate crimes. this is what happens when the law is biased in favour of one group over another. these racists are scum, the police are a total failure. however this will happen more and more if one side feels oppressed and feels the law is biased against them.

2) white male suicides worldwide outnumber female by over 4 to 1. the support for white men in all areas is closer to 100 to 1 in favour of women. not 1 politician has ever dared mention these facts. where do abused fathers and husbands go? where do husbands go when women have affairs , change the house locks and move their lovers in? then take the children? then ask their ex husbands to pay the mortgage and pay for the children via the csa? where do male soldiers go after coming home from war? theres no military hospitals left?

3) male teachers are less than 10% in primary schools. over half broken families have no present father, so over half children have no male in their lives. men are villified the world over because of the behaviour of a tiny tiny minority of sick perverts. there are sick women too but its not highlighted.

4) male abuse suffered is simply ignored. credit card abuse, mental and physical abuse, financial emotional abuse. we all know women who abuse themselves in pregnancy as a way to hurt their partners. this actually happens. over 20% abortion rate, how many are simply life style choices, how many done out of spite to hurt their partners|? obviously many are just scared women who havent got a clue what to do? men arent even allowed an opinion even if its their child who is being killed by drink , drugs, smoking or abortion

5) blanket laws punish good men and bad. laws with more layers and more variables allow society to measure each situation on a case by case basis. we know have a blanket law where all white men can be accused of anything, regardless how true it is and with the media witch hunt and twitter gossip, a white male is guilty before being proved innocent. thi sdefies everythig this country was built on. gossip is now more powerful than facts in law.

did you really read them all?

not if its racism or especially sexism against a man...how many sexisim cases have actually been awarded in favour of men against women over the past decade? less than 1%...How many racism cases perpetrated by other ethicities against white men have been upheld? probably less than 10%

frankly Id advise every man on the planet to forget marriage in future. Men simply have no real rights and no support network at all, the laws and the public perception is 100% against them. Any man, especially white man, can have his entire world destroyed at any second by any white lie, false accusation , spendthrift partner or adulteress partner. Why take the risk anymore? clearly the mass of women believe the radical feminist agenda that all men are potential rapists. so why not just forget marriage and love and romance completely. At least that way no accusations can be made and everyone can live in peace.

They need to change their outlook mainly on healthcare, thats light years ahead as the biggest issue..........they also then need to change their views on foreignpolicies and colonialism , though some liberal analysts are a bit too rose tinted at times....take syria , should the US send in the troops? should they find rebels to arm? should they increase sanctions? should they do nothing as tens of thousands die? should they use drone strikes to reduce the collatoral damage and death rate? theres no easy answer, to pretend there is , is dangerous.

especially on spreading some wealth and regulating the corrupt corporates. as for gay marriage , its a no brainer, let them marry, why stop it? do u enforce every church, no. if a church doesnt wish to do gay marriages, then they will ultimately become less popular. its a non issue as far as im concerned. abortion wasnt properlydiscussed, neither were male issues at all. such as male suicide rates at all times highs worldwide. everyone says men need to show their feelings more and tell people if they need help>? theres no one to tell? no one to listen?

the republicans were foolish on these issues and also they didnt convey their message well on the whole. they will always be the party for aspiring millionaires. thhats fine imho. its vital to keep that ambition to become successful. thats essential in driving a society forward. too much socialism would destroy everything. balance is the key, i think obama brings that balance.

You're right it would cause "outrage" if a person said that a black person and saying it about a white person is not right either but do you know why people seem to take it as less offensive when stuff like these are said about white people? It's because majority regard white people as leaders of the world anyway. Whites own the banks, government (even if the president is black he doesn't make all the decisions) and pretty much any establishment that people have to answer to to survive, are owned by white people, so when other races say offensive things about whites it is deemed less effective than if a white person were to say i'll never employ to black person again because it has happened before and most certainly can in the higher ranked businesses in this world or any type of business to be honest.

Do you get what i'm trying to say? Am I making sense? I'm eating, typing and watching xfactor at the same time.

^^Not saying it's an excuse at all of course, but that's how things seem to be with some.

Same as if a black person says redneck, or whatever whites deem offensive it would be deemed less offensive than if a white said the N word because of the history behind it where the whites imposed their racist views on most races.
