Gina Rio’s boyfriend Edwin Newton has rubbished reports that the kooky Big Brother diva does not live the life of luxury she had led the public to believe.

Laughing off claims that Gina – who palms £10k a month from her parents – lives in a council flat, he explained: ‘The truth is £10,000 is the lower scale of what she receives. We will go to Harrods and spend £10,000 in a day.

‘But don’t get me wrong, she’s a very generous girl and is always finding someone or something to help. The story about that council flat made me laugh. Gina has a place in King’s Cross that was being renovated and I stayed with Gina at The Savoy for five months. That story is pathetic! it’s all rubbish.’

And the up-and-coming rapper – who says Gina one treated him to a watch worth £13,000 – believes his high-maintenance girlfriend is worthy of her lavish lifestyle.

He said: ‘She likes the best of life. She gets everything she deserves. She’s a princess and I treat her like one. It keeps me on my toes.’

However, Edwin refused to lift the lid on how her family made their money.

‘They are a very private family so i don’t think it’s my place to discuss them,’ he added to new! magazine.

Gina is the favourite to win Big Brother 2013 with her popularity increasing both inside and outside the house week in, week out.

The kings cross house is obviously a load of ****. What was it meant to be..5 bedroomed or something? You would not get a 5 bed place in kings cross for a million. Not a bloody chance

I don't believe shes as rich as she makes out. But I dont believe she lives in a council flat either. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle and the storys were sold by her/family just for publicity.

I don't see why they would lie about that sort of stuff though. It would incredibly embarrassing if it was revealed to be false.
