Former Bit On The Side presenter Jamie East revealed on Twitter that she was originally due to enter the 2012 series, which he filmed an auditions special for.

According to the Daily Star, her family have blasted the timing of her decision as a friend of the family told the paper: ‘We understand Helen was supposed to go on Celebrity Big Brother back in January but for some reason she was dropped.


‘The fact that she has landed a place on the regular Big Brother right at the same time Wayne will be playing for England in the World Cup is more than just a coincidence.’

The source claimed the family believe it is a planned set-up and her parents reportedly do not approve of her decision to enter the house.
