This is Good News for Pakistan and India women. [A new law criminalising forced marriages which comes into effect today could protect thousands of potential victims. Forcing someone into marriage in England and Wales will carry a maximum seven-year jail sentence under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.]

Good. It's been ignored and excused by people putting it down to "cultural differences" for too long. Sometimes, when people live in this country, some of their traditions need to be challenged. FGM is one, this is another.

long overdue, culture clashes are inevitable in a mulitcultural societies however if they go against the laws of the country they shouldn't be tolerated.
