TOWIE star Gemma Collins has admitted that she was shocked they won't be handing out fizzy drinks and chocolate during her stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Collins is one of the ten stars touching down in Australia this week to take part in the ITV reality show, and confessed that she always thought they boosted the celebs' energy levels with free snacks.

"I thought they would give you a can of Diet Coke or a mini Mars bar to keep the sugar up but they don't," she said.

"I do like a drink too and so this is going to be a very different experience for me."

Talking about her fears in the jungle, she added: "I've only got to see an animal on TV and I start screaming.

"I don't like the feeling of claustrophobia either. I hate heights and I hate every single creepy crawly going."

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! launches on Sunday (November 16) at 9pm on ITV.

Collins will be joined in the jungle by Michael Buerk, US reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson, actor and DJ Craig Charles and rapper Tinchy Stryder.

I agree with you Nina, Gemma thinks the thick act will see her through to the crown, she even insinuated that slow and steady wins the race. I do think she is a bit of a numbskull but is playing to the cameras as uber thick. I can't stand her at all. She would know from her fellow Towies that have braved that jungle just what it's like. Does she really believe that their weight loss is due to chomping on Mars bars and such, nah.

I can't stand how hypocritical most these people are.
I remember vividly the dogs abuse Helen received during Big Brother, when she branded Jale a slug.

Yet most of the people who were against are doing much worse (Ashleigh supporters), to somebody they haven't even met.
