Yes, especially on the nomination process that made the Diary Room (or how Ch5 spelt it the once) the Dairy Room relevant.

I'm losing count of how many times we have to make it clear that Channel 5 aren't responsible for the twists or whatever happens during the series. Endemol produce the series and tell the producers and storyline producers what to do and what to make, not 5.

Channel 5 are the ones who buy the rights to air the show. Whatever is made, they need to show.

Every show has storyline producers. They put together the bits you see in the House from the footage. They'll follow a certain event in the HL's instead of just random bits here and there.

Ever since Emma took over from Brian, it's been twist-heavy. Not saying it's Emma's fault.
But ever since BB14, there's been a lot of twists.

When Brian was on the show, there wasn't much twists. Especially in the Civilian series, like BB13.

Over the last year the show has become "conflict heavy" too. BB15 and CBB15 being great examples.

Twists = Artifical Conflict = Trash
Good housemates = Natural Conflict = Entertainment

I think BB16 could either make or break Big Brother.

If they don't learn from the mistakes they made in BB15, and CBB15.
Then I'm done with the Civilian BB, as well as the summer CBB.

The only thing I will watch is January CBB, as that feels classic and like an event.

And in the summer, I will just re-watch Channel 4 series on YouTube, as if they were airing for the first time.

I agree.

I love how Endemol / C5 are overusing the CBB market.
All I can say is "Enjoy it whilst you can".

2 CBB's a year, and the fact they're both 4 weeks now, too. I wouldn't be surprised if CBB dies off, by the end of next year.

It will be so stale.

If BB16 is bad. I'm ditching BB, like C5 have.
I've given the show enough chances.

The word "twist" is a parody of itself now.

I agree.

It's more like "norm" now. They're pretty much part of the format.

It just aggravates me how the producers are destroying the show more and more each series, and think it's what the viewers want.

It really annoys me. The producers in charge of BB15 should be executed - effective immediatley.

BB15 was such a rotten series. It wasn't your ordinary "bad" series, which you just shrugged off.

It was massive turning point, in BB. And, if they want the show to be successful, then they really need to fix up.

CBB15 was the same, but it had a lot of controversy and people talking about it, which bumped ratings.

If they keep producing series like BB15/CBB14/CBB15, then the ratings will average 800k, by 2018.

A step forward would be to take the show back to the time of BB14/CBB13, when both formats were working well.

The show may have become less tacky, as the series go by. But the series themselves are getting more rotten and rotten.

At least we're not in 'Twistos Twist' territory just yet.

I hope there is less nomination meddling. I don't mind the odd twist if it's good

I'm not sure how viewing figures are going to fall to 800k if they keep producing series like CBB15, considering that's their most-viewed series an' all...

I said BB15/CBB14/CBB15.

All of which were too similar in terms of heavy conflict and twists.
BB15 and CBB15 were the worst in terms of manipulation.

The fact that the final week ratings for CBB15 dropped. Shows how stale it got, from all the conflict.

CBB15 could've averaged around 3.2m. But, it got so draining to watch by Day 25, that the ratings were on about 2.8m, as opposed to the 3.2m, the show was getting a few weeks earlier.

CBB15 only rated well because it was controversial. Just like CBB5 got good ratings.

CBB13 got good ratings because it was a classic series throughout.

Sure, you could argue that BB14 has the highest civilian viewing figures on Channel 5, but it was just as twist and public influence-heavy as BB15 was. Plus, it wasn't up against a World Cup.

Whilst I do agree.

It wasn't to the same extent that BB15 had.

BB14 had a better cast, and tasks too. As well as humor and fun.

BB15 was all about ruthlessness and dark and nasty game play.

The World Cup didn't kill the BB15 ratings.
BB15 ratings were low from the get and go, and never improved.

The ratings always stood at 1.5-1.6m.

The Olympics tarnished the BB13 ratings.

That sounds amazing to me and could describe the likes of BB6 and BB13 better than it did BB15.

BB6 and BB13 had nothing to do with game play, IMO.
Those were both divided series.

The producers knew what they wanted from BB15, and they got it. Shame they didn't get the ratings.
The promo for the series said it all, TBH.

Always going on about how ruthless the housemates were and how they were on the cusp of fame.

The producers wanted nasty, and they got it. Fair play.

BB6 was pretty much endless gameplay with people like Derek and Makosi, no idea what you were seeing

BB6 and BB13 did still have contestants in them that liked to have fun though, and the nastiness was more comedic in them series compared to most of the BB15 nastiness imo.
