I don't think she's a psychopath but I don't think she's "all there" in the head either. She comes across as someone desperate for attention to me, extremely needy and possibly slightly manipulative about people who she feels get in her way. I've said before that I don't buy her over confidence thing, she does sound like she's trying to convince herself and boost her own ego rather than being genuinely confident, she's possibly a bit insecure in herself to seemingly crave affection and attention on such a level to reassure herself. She comes across as fake and irritating to me as though a lot of her persona is not genuine and just an act, but I'm wondering now if this just might just be a symptom of some need for attention and to be liked or seen as interesting. Of course that is just armchair pop psychology on my behalf and I don't really know.

Sometimes I find her amusing. Sometimes I cringe on her behalf and pity her. Other times lately I've found her so fake and a bit bitchy and manipulative and she has begun to seriously irritate me.

I think you are right. She is like those people, who once they are in a relationship, gradually wean their partner away from friends and family, until it's just the two of them. A very unhealthy way to be.
