BB in it's 16th year and people are still coming with the sexist "Without him, she wouldn't stand a chance in here". As if women just can't do,be, or have anything if there wasn't some knight in shining armour to rescue,protect,guide and nurture them.
And as for the guys in the house, people just love to put a positive spin on him. He's not bad mannered,disrespectful,lazy etc, no-he's a lovable rogue. If a man shouts and argues a lot it means he's "passionate" but a woman is "aggressive", a man who's quiet is just "thoughtful" and "reflective", a woman is "dull", a man who does things with/for people is helpful, a woman is a "control freak" and "interfering".
It's all just one rule for one and one rule for another, that's why I'll be totally amazed if Laura stays tomorrow and marco goes, is he even up???? has Laura escaped the wrath of -everyone-??.
The show is a farce-we all know how it'll turn out even if Laura stays tomorrow. The way it always has, apart from the 4 or 5 times is hasn't gone as it -usually- does-the women will get picked off week after week and we'll end up with a bloke as the winner.
As I'm writing this I'm chuckling to myself at how ridiculous it's become. I used to get really angry about how badly the women are shown in their v.ts, how the crowd booed them on launch night, how they were hated throughout the time in the house and how they were voted out -before- any of the men but I realise now how pointless the whole shebang is. We all know how it goes and how it'll end so why bother. It's all just a joke.
