OK we had Anamelia with her Spirituality and her Crystals, yet was deluded in her obsession of her total self importance.

Then there is Kay, with her Veganism and her fairy nicey nicey person self beliefs.

Is this New Age stuff, just a get out for narcissists who can't fit into society any other way because they think they are gifted and special?

I am all in favourite of being different but to label yourself as special or better because of them, just smacks of ego.

Those two certainly are not helping the New Age philosophy

My son and his girlfriend are on a guided tour in Egypt, 14 in the group and 14 guards armed with machine guns, all the group are into Thoth and ancient relics and beliefs.
Crystals, tarot cards, anything mystic.
Not my kind of holiday, but they are all having a fantastic time.

It is not the point I am raising.

It is when those who are into these practices portray themselves as being better, superior or better human beings because of their beliefs.e.g not eating meat.

NOT that they shouldn't do it.

Ahhhh, I can see what you are saying.
I just have the attitude that nobody is better than me, and that I am no better than anyone else. All goes way over my head, makes life so much easier.

Lewis F accused Anamelia of having developed a persona to mask her true nature. There is a phenomena in psychology where people tend to repeat insults/remarks they have found to be particularly cutting when used on themselves. I have little doubt that someone has said to him at some point that he has adopted a false persona to mask his true nature (that of an aggressive, selfish narcissist).

In short, it's just a mask.

The problem with Annamelia is she contradicted herself from the moment she walked into the house on launch , that fiery temper was a shock to the viewers and it can comes across like the whole crystals & spiritualism is a bit fake ! .
You can't just walk around with crystals and do a witches meditation in the bathroom and fool everyone that you're a "kind hearted " person.
Maybe Annamelia let her competitive streak come out too forcefully , but her personality is too overbearing and she's clearly in love with herself . And by the time she realised she was in the wrong it was too late .


With Kay i thought she seemed genuine at first and really quiet and sweet.
Now she's coming across really silly and naive, and the whole drama of her wanting to leave after some of the housemates called out her behaviour with Lewis G was ridiculous . If she can't handle the heat then she needs to get out the kitchen. I think she's an attention seeker, and she probably does think she's special and above everyone just because she's vegan & new age .
I think she get's emotional too easily and plays victim .


So i would say when it comes to new age and veganism it just depends on the person , and the way they project those things . There's some peaceful new age people out there and some nice vegans .
