I used to be convinced it was an accident covered up by the parents, now I think they're simply lying about "checking frequently" and were actually leaving them alone all night or maybe checking very infrequently and so there was probably a large span of time in which pretty much anything could have happened to her. Maybe someone did go in and take her, or maybe she wandered out on her own looking for them and was grabbed elsewhere

Tbf (and again, I'm not convinced they are involved any more) you wouldn't know what "all the cops at Scotland Yard" think as they wouldn't be allowed to say if they even suspect it if there's clearly no evidence of it. They're only allowed to publicly report on their official lines of investigation, not their personal hunches.

You asked the question of parents. As a parent that must make me qualified to answer said question in your eyes. My answer is no good parent would leave their child, who is.no more than a baby, to go out drinking, compounded by the fact said child had already said she had awoken and cried for her parents the evening before when left alone.

Indeed..and especially after the kid only the day before had told you that they had woken up crying and looking for you. Cold callous parents to ignore that and kep doing it tbh. I think this might have been how the oversdose happened actually. They had been giving them something light to sleep, and not checking (unless likle, going back to the room for cash and having a quick look them) then when told they weren't being as effective as they thought, upping the dose rather than just staying in with the kids, or taking them with them.

If you want an adults only holiday, thas fine. Hell me and Gav just got back from one of those while grandad had the kids for a week. But, why take the kids if all day you are palming them off in the creche, and all night you leave them alone so you can get pissed. This always baffles me tbh.

Used to think they accidentally killed her but to be honest when I really think about it I can't see how they'd act normal at dinner, dispose of her body in an unknown country and the fact they keep bringing her up every year when any parent that killed their child would try and keep low after it happened. Plus the other attempted abductions in the area leading up to when Maddie was taken makes me think it was a case of serious parental neglect and they shouldve been done for that, 100%
