Oh my! I have goosebumps. This show meant so much to me. When me and my wife started dating we used to just watch it while on the phone to each other we wouldnt say anything to each other until the episode would finish, we could relate to it from having a long distance relationship, only seeing each other on weekends and we have some crazy families too. We got married around the time gavin and stacey got married so we could relate to the whole build up etc to it. Then it ended with stacey being pregnant and hasnt been on since. In that time we have had a rollercoaster marriage so far, and 3 kids later we get to see how gavin and stacey are getting on with their lives
It sounds silly as its only a show but it just related to us in so many ways back in the day Last edited by Strictly Jake; 26-11-2019 at 09:18 AM. |

Am I the only one who's like meh over this?
It's not an awful series but it's not even in the top 20 of british comedy shows for me, I'd have much more excited for a special of so many other shows than this.

![]() And The Vicar of Dibley already did outstay its welcome for one or two specials IMO. Last edited by Marsh.; 01-12-2019 at 07:03 PM. |

A KUA and Vicar of Dibley special would be amazing but Father Ted can suck a dick

But, I just loved the original 3 series. It's not the funniest laugh-out-loud comedy there's been (although there are plenty laughs) but it's just so real and I love most of the characters (the only ones I don't are the ones who don't feel real but written as sitcom characters - despise Sheridan Smith's character in this for that reason - tries too hard to be funny and she's just not). But, other than that, it's like the Royle Family, a great observational comedy. |

I think people are over-hyping it completely and are possibly going to be underwhelmed, I can see it coming.
