Not sure how there's been enough time yet. People dying now were infected a month ago, so we have to allow for those infected prior to lockdown, and those infected during the initial lockdown period to play out.

It take 2 weeks to recover with non health issues and 6 weeks with health issues they say so if people followed the rules and stopped the spread it's possible

There is also the initial incubation period, which is approx 7-14 days.

they were never going to reduce the figures to zero, what they had to do was cause enough impact so that the pressure was lessened on the NHS. If the peak happens in the next week or 2 and the NHS is still coping, the objective will have been achieved.
They will reduce the severity of the lockdown at some point before people go insane, but it will be done in small steps, checking every 3 weeks if it has had a severe impact or not It's going to take a long time before things are back to normal, if they ever really will be, the working from home directive could remain in place permanently until there is a vaccine or the number of infected reduce to double digits |

It's not going to happen, sadly.
I work in a town centre and there's more people around since the lockdown began than there was before. We are pretty much having our best sales ever and it's down to people wanting to nip out to buy cushions and paint to do up their houses. People aren't staying in, they aren't going out just for essentials. This lockdown will last for months. |

If people listened then we would be out of lockdown sooner rather than later. |

Medics, hardware equpment, pet supplies, hygiene products.
We've got tons of essentials yet our gardening and decorating supplies are empty. We're rapidly running out of things in the Home section which is stuff like throws, cushions, candles and such. It's ridiculous. |

no way this lockdown should be lifted by may then, since you sadly have stupid idiots who cannot stay at home on their own
12 month lockdown would be best

I will wait till the scientific experts tell us what to do based on the data that they get nationally and not base any opinion on my own anecdotal opinion

Let's be honest there are next to no shops which sell exclusively essentials so there will always be people buying things they don't strictly need

There's always going to still be areas such as supermarkets that will be busy because food is essential, smaller towns I guess might not seen a giant difference because towns are often where most people live, City's are the dangerous areas as they're usually crowded areas where the virus could thrive because there's always a movement of people a reason as to why New York is going to probably be the worst affected area in the world. In terms of the lockdown, I think it'll most defiantly go on for this entire month. no one can tell when lockdown can end because it's a virus, and things change on the daily. If I was to predict like everyone else I would say by early May they'll be some reductions. I'm all for people lives are more important the economy, but I really don't see the extreme predicts some people are saying like this will last months, the economy would collapse, they're would be more deaths from that then the virus, the lockdown needs to be in place until hospitals have the strength to support cases.
