it's basically the death penalty in every african/arab country, it's just not enshrined in law, but they still throw them off the top of buildings

DeSantis imo uses the "protect the children" argument a lot, and I normally tend to find that people like that are rarely genuine.

It still doesn't change the fact that he uses the "think of the children" motto that 95% of the far right tends to always play on.

DeSantis knows what he is doing with that argument, because obviously most people don't want to encourage something that might be harmful to kids (or allegedly so.)
