How you did view it? Did you find Farida’s questions offensive or actually curios to learn? How did you view Hallie’s reaction?

Farida was just trying to learn more and people asking questions is how minds are opened. I don't think she deserved the backbiting she got from a few of the others afterwards.

I definitely see why being presented with that offensive misconception bothered Hallie but it seemed like the conversation ended with Farida understanding more about it.

I think she was genuinely curious, I’m guessing not many middle aged women have met a trans person so naturally they’re gonna wanna ask a few questions.

Could she have worded things a little more delicately… sure, but I don’t think it was malicious

What I'm more surprised about is how ITV are letting these conversations happen, I think a few years ago on C5 she would have been warned or kicked out for transphobia. It's good, conversation seems to be allowed again

I can see why Hallie might be offended, but I hope she wasn’t actually. I think Farida just genuinely was curious and didn’t know much about trans relationships.

Love Hallie but it seemed a bit two faced when she quickly changed her tune about the convo when Farida came over…

I do think Farida was asking out of genuine curiosity but come on, have a little bit of tact! I totally understand why Hallie felt a little taken a back by it as I’m sure that kind of question is incredibly exhausting and disheartening to be asked, but it did seem like Farida meant no harm by it and instead of going to other housemates about it she should’ve just brought it up with Farida first. I think it’s looking likely Farida will be one of the nominees as first she was involved in the whole salmon thing and now this.

Maybe Hallie should get some actual experience in the real world before scoffing at her elders and betters for questioning some of her "beliefs"

So far I quite like Hallie but bit by bit we are starting to see her age and immaturity around certain things show, which obviously she can’t help as she is only 18 after all, but yeah, I can see her ending up on the wrong side of arguments throughout her stay

She's only eighteen and has probably never been bluntly questioned like that. Saying you're an open book is one thing, but most people wouldn't ask the questions Farida did, or at least in the same way.

I might delicately suggest fewer straight men are open to the idea of dating a transwoman than she seems to think, but whatever, maybe I'm wrong about that.

I don't think she was suggesting that all straight men are open to the idea of dating a trans women (But I would also delicately suggest that there are probably more than you would think though, especially behind closed doors). I think she was more saying that the men who do openly date trans women usually identify themselves as straight and not gay, because gay men wouldn't typically be attracted to a woman.

I think being open to questions and then getting highly personal questions thrown at you on tv is quite a different thing. She probably heard the cameras zooming in

I think its also that she asked it in such a public setting too, on the bed where none of them could have any privacy, it would have been smarter for Farida to maybe ask Hallie in a more private setting (well, as private as you can get on BB). I can imagine Hallie felt a little cornered

I think she was just asking out of curiosity as someone who’s probably never encountered a trans person before, however the wording of the question was a bit tactless and probably something Hallie has had thrown at her before, which would probably be quite jarring

As a grown adult (compared to an 18 year old) Farida should know better than to be so blunt around her wording though, and like a few posts up mentioned, she could easily have waited to ask this when not everyone was around AND during a task where Hallie couldn’t even take herself elsewhere

I haven’t watched this yet .. went straight to Live feed .

But apparently Halle made it apparent that she was open to questions so she should have laid out the parameters at that moment if she didn’t want to discuss certain aspects
