I really hope they stop getting super political housemates, its so much more interesting and nuanced when the drama and arguments are personal and not political

House politics are always more entertaining. It's why most series tend to get better after a couple of weeks when outside topics dry up and what goes on in the house becomes the focal point.

This I agree with, but the problem is they probably won’t, j mean the producers were in the wrong for putting George in, despite knowing his views and stuff beforehand

They were wrong to remove him though imo.

Jolly good

Yeah, house politics are better to watch than real politics.
Big Brother is kind of a reflection of this social-media led society we have now: politics being brought into a lot of things, and people pressured to show which side of the fence they are on. |

Certain people would have been more than happy with the house being a right-wing circle jerk for 6 weeks though, I'm not sure that political discussion itself is really the problem, but I do agree it weighs the show down too. I think seasons like BB18 got the balance right.
The tricky thing is, we live in times that are more political than in the past so it is inevitable to some degree, but I do hope they can level it out to create other kinds of tension and drama in the future. |

![]() As someone that personally likes to distract myself from all of these scumbags that are out to ruin our lives in some form or another, I feel it's getting increasingly harder to do that. Admittedly Housemates like George, Zelah, and Feyisola do not help BB when it comes to the Show becoming Politically extreme. I mean from the three of them we've had. - Lightyear being called Porn. - Motorbikes and Tattoos being called "Toxic Masculinity." - The term "barking" being associated with racism. - A mad conspiracy theory about how Doctors are chopping young boys Penises off. ![]() And that's just what I'm remembering. ![]()

Plus being patient in allowing house politics to fester and grow. It doesn't happen overnight. Though the plea for patience I'd probably as much for us viewers as the producers.

No, we don’t. They’re so bloody dull, and both sides tend to spout off crap. If I wanted to watch people have political arguments I’d just head to serious debates.

This politics is life crap really annoys me. You could equally say the same about maths, physics, chemistry, music, philosophy etc etc etc
People really do need to learn to live unconnected to the internet |

I think it can be interesting to have people in there of different political persuasions but only because they might then move past the politics and see more of the person behind their beliefs. Realise you don't need to all hold the exact same opinions in order to get along. I would be kinda interested in seeing a Tory and a Leftist become great friends but I would have zero interest in seeing them debate politics because I can see that anywhere |
