The voice of reason
|
It was lovely to hear Richard talk about Psalm 139 and to see Tate's face as he
summarised succinctly the theme of the first part of this Psalm originally written by David. Psalm 139 is a psalm of praise affirming that God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, and that He created each person “fearfully and wonderfully”. It describes how God knows everything about an individual, from their thoughts and actions to their very creation in the womb. The psalm moves from awe at God's intimate knowledge of the individual to a plea for God to judge the wicked, before concluding with a prayer asking God to search the psalmist's heart and lead them in the "everlasting way". For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. That fact that God knows and cares for children in the womb means that God’s concern for life begins at conception. It means that God’s people have a responsibility to also know and care for children in the womb. (Richard getting his pro-life views across) It was a lovely part of last night's show and really showed the bond that Richard and Tate have. Well done to Jenny for instigating the heartfelt moment too

Jesus talked Richard into the hotub.
Perhaps to test the waters for the first ever BB hot tub baptism. |
