Default Why Big Brother 5 went Pear Shaped

In honour of Why Big Brother 4 went Pear Shaped and as this is an anual tradition, I thought I would open this thread for business.

Especially as I was proved right about BB4

What would we do without our resident Prophet of Doom to bring us down to earth.

Live long and prosper Sticks.

Shamless bouncing this to the top of the pile.

From the sound of things, C4 / Endemol do not inspire much confidence.

Just to summarise

BB1 - Incompetance at not spotting cheating and allowing a tainted nomination to stand

BB2 - Shameless opportunism of the Helen & Paul romance (even to the point of setting Helen up, thwarted unexpectedly by Paul Clarke)

BB3 - Suspicion of Rigging in an attempt to get a chosen champion the crown

BB4 - Back to incompetance, tinkering and botching (The bomb scare caused by workmen carelessly leaving a toolbox just typified this)

BB5 ??????

God nothing changes in here much, does it? Wipe the foam from your chin Sticks. We are about to witness the best Big Brother ever, now is that being optimistic or what.

More like wishful thinking.

The track record is not all that inspiring

Hope by Saturday all the regulars will return.
Although I havn't been posting I have still been reading what everyone has to say.
Can hardly contain my excitment.
Please let it be as good as BB2.

I believe we said that about BB4, prior to its commencement in reference to BB3 (remember the awful bars and the squabbles)

Sorry but the universe is governed by the second law of thermodynamics. The amount of entropy is increasing. Everything is running down and all things get worse.

There is also the law of diminishing returns.

It's because no-one can predict how a series will turn out, it's doubly important the producers not only get the right mix of house-mates, but safeguard the best house-mates from being evicted too early. That's why last series was so dire as the mix was completely wrong with too many dull people playing a game and badly thought out rules that had the most interesting contestants leaving first (Anouska should never have been allowed to have left so early).

I can't predict how BB 5 will turn out, but from what I've read from links via this forum, I am optimistic about the type of contestants the producers have lined up, so it does seem, finally, they've listened to the concerns people like me have been moaning about on boards like this.

So who is going to eat Who's words?

I have just been looking through the posts on this thread inlight of recent events.

Looks just like last year when I turned out to be right again

Does this not make you yearn for the good old days of BB4
