He's great. He is really insightful... Sometimes when he speaks about group or personal dynamics it's like he's narrating the plot of the highlights episode (something we've come to think is produced in some sinister backroom by a bunch of film editors and producers). He is the only housemate who can consistently "get outside his own head"—and that is what makes him perfect for level-headed roles like referee or fool—but that is what makes his weaknesses (his understandable temper for the obnoxious and ingratiating Sree, his affection for a girl he knows he shouldn't) much more intriguing.

I think Marcus is hilarious.

Even the way he sits down in the diary room makes me laugh. He always sits on the chair, puts one foot up on the opposite knee, looks at a slight 45 degree angle away from the camera and strokes his beard. Cracks me up every time.

I like Marcus, think its great how he always tells sree straight but the way he is acting around noirin is cringeworthy. I think he thinks she fancys him. I kind of feel embarressed for him!

Marcus is a star, while all the others are talking complete bollacks he his the only one that makes any sense. He knows he is punching above his weight with Noirin but at least he is not all over her like Sree. I'd go down the pub with Marcus anyday. Not like the other knobheads.

He's not convinced he's Mr. Cool. It's like me saying I'm the smartest man on the planet. I know it's not true but it's fun to say it, it winds other people up, etc.

I do agree that his perving/objectification of Noirin has been cringeworthy, but I don't think he's that bright when it comes to women.

Look... He's human, but I see more good points shining through than bad. Plus he's someone who does stupid things we can laugh at too (getting rotten tomatoes thrown in his face). I like to laugh at all the cringeworthy things he says too.
