Genesect to debut in movie 16

An early screening of Kyurem and the Sacred Swordman - Keldeo took place in Japan today, as has been the case for Pokemon movies these past few years. And as usual, after the credits finished, a teaser for next year's movie rolled. According to one moviegoer, the teaser showed some kind of "flying saucer" hovering over a wasteland and changing into Genesect! Not that there was any doubt Genesect would be featured in the 16th movie as the last fifth generation Pokemon to be revealed, but still exciting nonetheless! Hopefully we'll see the teaser online within the next few weeks and Genesect's official revealing soon after.

Team Rocket have their own radio show in Japan.. ;s

Animate.tv announced today that the first episode of Pokémon Radio Show! Team Rocket's Secret Empire, will be available on their site Monday, July 2nd. The program will premiere this Sunday at 7:00pm on InterFM 76.1 Tokyo (76.5 Yokohama), however only those living in the Kanto region of Japan will be able to listen live. Thanks to Animate.tv, people worldwide will be able to visit their site and listen to the show every Monday. iPhone and Android users can also go to their mobile page and listen to the program. Unfortunately, only the previous day's episode will be on their website. A complete archive of every episode will not be kept.

The radio show was an idea of Megumi Hayashibara (voice of Jessie in the Japanese version). It was later officially pitched by sound director Masafumi Mima (who is the writer of both the tweets and radio show) a year and a half ago. On June 1 the Pokémon Radio Twitter was launched, and hype for the show began. Bulbapedia has translations of all the tweets thus far.

The show will be about the Team Rocket trio attempting to recruit all 7 billion people of the Earth to join Team Rocket. Each episode will also have a segment where a Pokémon specialist will be interviewed. The first episode will feature Ikue Ohtani (the voice of Pikachu) due to her knowing a lot about Pikachu.

Genesect has been officially revealed!

The official Pokemon website has updated with details shown in Corocoro about Genesect. Along with this came a picture and a few sentences announcing that the Pokemon movie for next year will, indeed, star Genesect.

A trailer is supposedly shown after Sacred Swordsman that gives us a look on what the movie will look like for next year, but no details other than the fact that Genesect is in it has risen yet.

10 - The Rise Of Darkrai (2007)

And they were all quite good. I remember 1 was one of the first films I ever saw. Genesect is so ugly though

B&W Soundtrack to be released July 25th

The official Japanese Pokémon website has revealed the release date for the soundtrack of Pokémon Black and White Versions 2. The 4-disc soundtrack will be released July 25, 2012.

The soundtrack also includes music from Pokémon Black and White Versions, Pokémon Platinum Version, and Pokémon Emerald Version.

I'm not really sure what its about but heres a brief description...

Story: To save the Ransei region from Nobunaga, a powerful Warlord who is trying to take over Ransei, players must conquer different kingdoms to strengthen and grow their own kingdom. There are 17 kingdoms in total to conquer. Conquering all 17 kingdoms and ultimately uniting the kingdom will awaken the Legendary Pokémon and save the land from destruction. Story mode is organized by episodes. Players unlock episodes as they progress and each episode features a different playable Warlord and victory conditions.

Army Mechanics: Players can grow their army by recruiting defeated Warlords and their Pokémon. After a kingdom is conquered, players will also have access to the kingdom facilities such as training grounds, shops to buy items and mines for money. Players can also strengthen their army by linking with Pokémon. Warlords can have various linked Pokémon and switch between them before battle to strategically prepare for the type of battle they are about to engage in.

Battle Mechanics: Players will encounter a wide range of battlefields as they progress through the game. Each of the 17 kingdoms has a different type-themed battlefield. For example kingdom Ignis is fire-themed and has lava flows, lava beds and fire spouts for players to battle around. Strategically using water-type Pokémon to navigate through this battlefield will help players conquer this kingdom. Additionally, players can use the kingdom training grounds to train their army or find wild Pokémon and link with them. After battling with a Warlord, the game automatically registers them. Using the built-in local wireless connection on the Nintendo DS, players can battle with friends who also own the game with their registered armies.

Warlords and Pokémon: Each Warlord has a special ability that can change the tide of battle. For example, Warlord Oichi has the ability to heal all the Pokémon in your army. Warlords also have types much like Pokémon. This will determine how well they link to particular Pokémon. Some Warlords will have the ability to choose from several different kinds of Pokémon to link with.

I want gen 6 as well.. gen 5 has been a disappointment, some crappy pokemon, no 3d wii game, no ranger/mystery dungeon games...

I hope with gen 6 they don't focus so much on a certain place in the world like they did with Unova (based on America)

Gen 5 was pretty bad. SoulSilver will probably always be my favourite. Best region, best layout, lovely graphics etc

Yes and you got to walk with your pokemon and sometimes they would give you things when you spoke to them

But imagine the amount of Pokemon that could follow you It'd take up so much space.

I hope those names are real, I love them

Hoenn is my least fave region though
