Why, though, is Malky Mackay specifically responsible?

I gave him a big budget and he spent it on the wrong people.

We were supposed to have a main striker and we signed a 20-year-old (Andreas Cornelius), paying him £45,000 a week.

We paid more than £10m. The reported £7.5m is not the right number. It was over £10m. And, guess what, he hardly started.

Why pay so much for a main striker, pay £45,000 a week, more than Craig Bellamy, and then don’t start him?

Stupid decisions. This is a manager who knows how to run a business? People ask why I am angry.

Wouldn’t you be if you hired somebody and this was the kind of performance?

The amazing thing is that they say he is a hero.

Tony Pulis is in line to be crowned LMA Manager of the Year at a glittering end of season ceremony on Monday evening.

The Crystal Palace masterminded the club’s incredible escape from relegation after taking over when they only had four points in the Barclays Premier League.

The LMA award is based on the resources available to each manager and is voted for by its members.

Yeah, lot's were confused on Twitter.

Especially seeing as though some people didn't include the Premier League part and just put 'Tony Pulis voted LMA Manager of the Year'.

Did as good a job as he could have done really with a squad he wasnt that happy with and a board with unrealistic expectations who were looking to replace him from the moment he got the job

Worse than harsh its crazy. Get rid of a promising English manager and to do what, hire a foreign one and start all over again, another season lost to bedding in and culture clash. The chairman should have been sacked for hiring AVB and getting rid of harry.
