That's modern (American) Tradition, classic tradition is 12 days before and take down 12 days after.

Although theres not a chance in hell I'm waiting any longer than the 1st of December tbh

Ist December if not sooner. I can't wait to get those decorations up. It makes me feel good, also it's a good excuse not to have to dust until the New Year.
