Critics demand Khloe Kardashian's Protein World Tube advert is scrapped by London Underground for 'body shaming' young women
![]() Mr Khan said that as a father of teenage daughters he would ban unhealthy or unrealistic body image posters from London buses, the Tube and London Overground. Critics have now called on the Mayor to stay true to his word and remove the image starring Khloe - the sister of Kim - amid fears it could cause confidence issues among young women. The advert shows Khloe in a seductive pose in a leotard promoting the company's 30-day 'slender' weight-loss plan. The tagline reads 'can you keep up with a Kardashian?' On Protein World's website, Khloe explains how getting a 'dream body' takes 'dedication and literal sweat and tears.' She adds: 'For me, weight loss has always been about feeling great on the inside and out. Anything worth having is worth fighting for.' ![]() ![]() http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-scrapped.html Should this advert be banned? |

I think if you are using a women as an advert for weight loss and body reshaping it should be illegal to use digital enhancement

I don't disagree with images of young women looking healthy I don't see that as body shaming , however that image has been altered and as said that is totally wrong.
What I do object to is the product, young women do not need protein powders, as they will get all they need from the food they eat. Only bodybuilders need these products.

I agree with LT *Checks to see if the sky is falling*
I think Khan's reasons for wanting to ban adverts like that are understandable but also patronising to women in general. I do think they should be banned for the reason that LT stated though. |
