Working with Jack [Antonoff], I was in a little bit of a lighter mood because he was so funny. So the title track is called “Norman ****ing Rockwell,” and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist but he thinks he’s the **** and he knows it and he won’t shut up talking about it. So often I ended up with these creative types or whatever and, you know, they just go on and on about themselves, and I’m like, Yeah, yeah. But there’s a little bit of merit to it also. They are so good. I just like the title track so much that I was like, OK, I definitely want the record to also be called that.

Elsewhere in the interview, Lana said that she she hopes to release a book of poems and short stories, under the working title Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass. (She’s also training for her pilot’s license.) In addition, she said that she wants to release another new track in October.

I love these tracks, they remind me of her May Jailer days, she is really paired back too, no more huge lips and hair, just her natural self... but is she trying to lose album sales with a title like that?

..it’s my favourite album of any artist in such a long time.....my wig is gone but I can’t though completely commit my whole body and soul until I’ve read a review from Shaun...Pitchfork who..?...

...I think Love Song is really gorgeous also and like an addiction that creeps into you...?...she’s such a lyricist, it’s like the musical version of stepping through a great American novel of Steinbeck quality .....

So she announced on Instagram today that she's releasing a new album in September. The thing is, nobody's talking about it because in the same post, she managed to throw basically every successful woman of color in music (Beyonce, Nicki, Cardi, Doja Cat, even Kehlani for some reason) under the bus, with a healthy dose of slut-shaming on the side She should have never dated that cop in the first place
