The point is, he's trying to dodge responsibility by blaming the devil instead of blaming the Church as an institution for how they handled all these scandals, moving those Priests around dioceses leaving them free to re-offend with a brand new set of unsuspecting and innocent children. By all means blame the devil for these evil men who hurt all those children but accept that how it was all handled was just as bad.
