Not a great blindside by Kama, allowed two to keep their idols as well as they were no doubt informed how it was going. Victoria did a much better move with a bluff to take out someone with an idol. A bluff would have worked again here.

Yeah it was honestly a very dumb move by Kama, partly why it was still a bit shocking to me that it actually happened... but I will gladly take some stupidity for Kelley's side to still have a fighting chance

Even if the merge boot order were to start sucking now, this has actually become a surprisingly good season despite the questionable "island" twist. It's usually more of a detriment to the season but it's not hurting this one at all and the island scenes are not that bad or even great additions to the episodes!

I wasn't near a computer last week and didn't feel like going mobile so here are my belated thoughts! Sad to see #KamaStrong get broken up and not make it to the family visit but I hope I enjoy out of power Ron even more than I enjoy in power Ron? I need him and Julie to corner Julia and Gavin and yell at them like Toni yelled at Werner please and thank you

Obviously the other highlight of the episode was OTTNrora <33333333333333 I laughed so hard during the entire Challenge between her shamelessly begging for Immunity and this whole exchange:

Medical team: Lauren, you just passed out.
Lauren: Damnit

That's so embarrassing.

Oh and I also loooooooved Rick, who really was never that bad and people have been hating bc he's a high vis str8 white male lbr, getting so ****ing sarcastic with Wardog and leaving him dumbfounded

And then being super defiant with David and then casually going "oh I was hoping to get the other half of the Idol back btw :3" <333333

I feel the same way! At face value I'm definitely entertained enough and the Edge of Extinction twist isn't nearly as disastrous as I had anticipated. At the same time though, the editing is a ****ing mess. The Eric/Ron duo came out of nowhere, Gavin backstabbing Eric wasn't even made into a big deal, Julia supposedly is really tight with Gavin but we never saw any of that... all in all the dynamics of Kama are such a mess bc nothing was shown prior to last night's episode.

But even with all of that, the editing of last night's episode was really damn great as a singular entity? I loved the back and forths between the convos of David/Rick, Eric/Ron, Ron/Aurora, Lauren/Kelley, etc and the editing of the Challenge was hilariously hokey. It all built up to a really entertaining episode, but the storytelling across the season isn't coherent at all.
