Default When are the decorations coming down
I was going to make a start today, but Mr C wants them up for a bit longer so he will be taking them down himself on Sunday

This weekend probably, I'm usually really sick of them by now but we only put them up 6 days before Christmas this year so I'm not too bad yet

Mine came down on New Years Eve. I like to start the New Year with a clean fresh house. (it looks rubbish without them though )

Normally around the twelfth night, however our daughter took the tree down last night and boxed most of the decorations.
Just a few things still to box then she will help her dad put them in the loft tonight.

I also did no washing yesterday because apparently you are washing yourself with bad luck for the rest of the year if you use the washing machine NYD so I have done my washing today instead

That can't be an old tradition, unless it means not washing yourself...which is just rank, especially I scotland if you hammer new year but also have the whole of new years day to do as well.
