I've never understood why 'pineapple on pizza' is so frowned upon , or seen as something disgusting and weird .Yet 'sweet & sour chicken' and 'honey glazed ham' is fine/accepted ? . I personally like all these foods and find them normal and nice .

I don't see the problem, if you like it and it tastes good to you, then eat it. I have no problem with pineapple on a pizza, it's not my go to pizza but I'd eat it if that's what was on the table.
