Default India/Pakistan 50C/122F Extreme Heatwave

[We are living in hell’: Pakistan and India suffer
extreme spring heatwaves]

[As the heatwave has exacerbated massive energy
shortages across India and Pakistan, Turbat,
a city of about 200,000 residents,
now barely receives any electricity,
with up to nine hours of load shedding
every day,
meaning that
air conditioners and refrigerators cannot
function
. “We are living in hell,” said Ahmed.]

incorrect title

62C refers to the surface temp and not the shade air temp where it reached 50C

50C is a typical desert temperature, so it's not so out of the ordinary

If the air temp was 62 degrees they'd all be dead.

50 is still unimaginable to most of us brits, though. I start complaining when it hits about 24 .

Hottest I've personally experienced was Portugal, it was early-ish in the year though (mid May) so it only hit the low 30's, that was about as much as I could handle. They kept the pool ICEY cold though, so jumping in after sitting in the sun for a while was like ... "risk of going into shock" territory . Amazing once you were in though.

A new report
on Ch5HDnews 5PM hour news
showed India
birds dropping from the sky, dead.

And by midday
Cows and People go under bridges
to get the shade.

Water is running low.
