A very, very small minority compared to kids who have straight parents. The television just projects it to look different. For what reason? I don't know. There's obviously some agenda behind it.

Sorry to break it to you but you might think you are dead normal and not like other gays but homophobes are still gonna dislike you regardless.

Then I'll put it another way - there's a disproportionate push for LGBT acceptance, it's probably not going away; would you rather the driving voices be people who just happen to be gay but apart from that act like everyone else ... Or creepy drag queens and people who want to spread "queerness" everywhere?

Maybe you're just paranoid or have a low bar for people?

You seem to want gays to be protected from any insults or jokes being made against them almost like they should have a different set of rules to everyone else. Making a joke or a humorous insult is not hate, it's not discrimination. It's just what happens to everyone. It's just the same way gays make jokes or humorous insults about straight people or the same as you making insults by calling people bigots or gammon.

Discrimination is when you physically attack someone or stop them from doing something because of who they are. Words and opinions come under free speech unless it's a threat and free speech must be preserved at all cost and not given away to tyrants who would have us all in slavery if they could.

You're actually the one discriminating by thinking gays or any other so called minority should have a different set of rules to the rest, just for who they are.

These "drag queens" are taking the piss out of women

Its blatant misogyny

What is interesting is our left leaning members falling over themselves to defend them dont address this

drag queens = blackface

That's a whole load of assumptions but at least you posted something relevant to the thread.

It's sad, it holds back progression. Never question anything, and if you do, you're wrong.

He's not the first celebrity seen as "weird" , but that didn't mean he was a paedo . People of course hyped up his "weirdness" like he was the child catcher or something.

Also like you say ,he didn't have a proper childhood , therefore he was more naive & childlike still.

Nobody has stopped them though have they? They've just shown concern for the intentions of the grown men dressed up as tarty women wanting to go into primary Schools to possibly indoctrinate primary school aged children. It's a bit weird and I think parents have a right to be concerned. And if their concern insults your ideology, then tough sh!t and get over yourself

What are they protesting for if they don't want it to be stopped? There's no need to get yourself in a huff Alf I'm sure you'll get your way eventually in cancelling the drag queens.

Its nothing to do with primary schools. Its a public library.....where you can choose to take your kids...or not?

You've made an error thinking I'm mad. I'm perfectly happy. I'm just able to see the concern of these parents.

In America they're opening clubs up to kids to attend where drag artists dance for them while the kids give them dollar bills like the way they do in strip clubs. Again, it's all very strange to me. So I can see why parents would be concerned.

Maybe they're concerned that the intentions are criminal? Maybe that's why they're protesting?

I could get the concern if it was a compulsory event in a school. It wasn't. The parent's whose children attended were aware of the "show" and what it entailed. It was a ticketed event in a public library. The parent's of the children who attended stated that the performance was age appropriate and there was no inappropriate content or language.

That's America. This is the UK....this event was a ticketed event as I keep saying. The parents attended. The Queen had a DBS check in place.

Sure so they want it shut down and cancelled just on a thought. Everyone who paid for tickets go home, the concerned folk who don't even have to be there don't want it going ahead.

Drag queens are supported in the main by women in their 30s. They are the ones who buy the tickets to see the shows in the pubs and clubs.

This drag queen will know this, so therefore hes made his readings available to parents with kids ranging from 3 to 11....and also in public libraries where women parents with kids that age(mostly in their 30s) will be the ones wanting to see a drag queen in action, not the kids.

This has nothing to do with education or acceptance, it's a simple marketing ploy.
