Another example of why people need to be vetted to own dogs.

Only registered breeders should be allowed to sell dogs. Anyone else selling a dog should be able to charge no more than Ł25.

I feel like most the dogs I see in this country now are horrible vicious things. Bulldogs, pitbulls or rottweiler types etc. I saw two blokes on bikes in balaclavas down the cycle path near me recently with these absolutely huge bulldogs running behind them slobbering away, genuinely had to do a double take at first that it wasn't a bear or something. I thought I bet they're training them for some sort of fighting or to be used aggressively

Increased regulation of dog ownership is well overdue in this country

Our son in Florida has two Pitbulls ( one a cross ) and they’re the softest dogs I’ve ever interacted with especially the purebred Pitbull .. and we’ve had two Irish Red Setters !

Their extended family breeds Dobermans and they were all ridiculously soft as well .. which was a very pleasant surprise as the ones I’d seen in England were proper scary individuals.

It’s the owners I’d suggest

FFS if the attack wasn't bad enough - at the end he pets the dog! He rewards the behaviour! . Whether deliberate or not it's extremely stupid.

Personally I believe that any Dog (or pet in general) will behave depending on how well loved they are by their owners or aren't.

Unfortunately it looks like this particular Bull Dog in question has not been treated very well I'm going to guess.
