I would hazard a guess that your experience of the Falklands war, sat down the local with access to three TV channels nearly 40 years ago, might not actually bear any resemblance at all to political attitudes and also might not actually encompass the entire nation at the time.

I would also suggest that the idea that "no one" was objectively discussing the politics behind the Falklands war during the Falklands war is absolute garbage.

And again point out that you don't actually have to "pick either side" in any conflict.

And finally I would point out that ... Britain is not currently at war. So none of this even applies in the slightest to the discussion of a war between Israel and Palestine.

If we're talking of the 40 babies story, then it was pushed by the IDF. When the IDF were questioned about it, they backed away from the claim. The fact the claim was pushed across all media should be a story about failure to do proper journalism.
